2008 - 2009 Boys Recreation Classes (5 years to 13 years old)Boys Classes at Greater Buffalo Gymnastics Center help develop self-awareness through challenging activities and social interaction with coaches and classmates. All of our classes are run by an experienced member of our coaching staff that will help each child reach their full potential while enjoying every aspect of the class.
Our Boys recreational program is comprised of the levels below. Each boy will have his own skill chart that is specific to the level he is in. We designed these charts to be able to track a students progress throughout the year. When signing up, you may register for one or more of the following classes per week. If you do not know your child's level, the descriptions will give you a better understanding of each of our levels.
Beginner
Our beginner level classes are designed for boys who have limited, or no previous experience in gymnastics. These Classes are structured to included all six men's Olympic events (Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars and Horizontal Bar) Trampoline and additional training aids.
Advanced Beginner
Boys at this level have successfully completed the Beginner skill chart and are able to move on to more challenging skills, stressing technique and execution. This level is reached by having been recommended by an instructor from the previous year, or by showing an outstanding ability during the current year. This is an important level for the development of boy's gymnastics, and it often leads to a spot on our competitive team. |
